"The work is set loosely in the form of a Missa Pro Defunctis, juxtaposing several texts in Latin with a beautiful poem by Katarina Knehans, whom I commissioned specifically for this concept. Her poignant poem expresses the daily loss on Earth in such a way that moves from darkness to light."

a piece woven together based upon Roxane Gay's after Hunger: a Memoir of (My) Body written at the AWP Conference in 2018 and published by Emerge Traveling Stanza's.
